The Downey Patriot, “Film festival returns to Downey, bigger than ever”

Movie lovers of all genres have reason to celebrate the growing maturity of Downey’s burgeoning film festival when it opens its season in late September.

Now in its fourth year, the Glennfest Movie Festival will offer an unprecedented free screening of 16 art and indie films at three venues in Downey. The Downey Patriot, “Glennfest Film Festival continues through this weekend”

The Glennfest Film Festival in Downey continues through this weekend to its closing night on Oct. 8 with 11 more films. All screenings are free to the public.

Downey Beat, “Downey Celebrates Third Annual Film Festival”

The city of Downey is host to many exciting events. 2014 has witnessed a brand new series from Rooftop Entertainment, a FIFA street festival and the second annual upcoming Dia De Las Muertos street festival.

But Downey is also home to a little known event, The GlennFest Film Festival, occurring annually every October.
