Synopsis
Thanks to the recent efforts of Paz y Esperanza on the ground and a London based NGO, Deaf Child World Wide, educators and practitioners have been able to engage parents and their deaf children in the region of San Martin, Peru in order to establish the first accessible and standardized public education system of the country.
This film showcases the emerging Deaf community of Nueva Cajamarca, Peru, spotlighting their efforts as well as the social and bureaucratic barriers they face in fulfilling their needs.
